With my trip to Idaho, the month of July seemed to disappear, in fact, it was so busy that the day we flew home, Arthur was immediately off to the birthday party of a friend of his. He was so tired, but had a fantastic time – probably because it was at an escape room, which are one of his favorite things.

One of the projects that Lily and I have been up to has been painting all the baseboards and the doors in the house. Not only has it been five years and so they were in need of some touch-ups, but they had never received their much needed second coat, and many of them did not look great. It was hard work that we split up over a couple weeks, but it is so worth it. It had been driving me crazy for years.

Last week, we had a pool party for Relief Society, which was so fun, even if I didn’t get in the pool. (I have been losing so much hair lately from my brain radiation in June, that I am trying to avoid things that might damage it more, like chlorine. Lily had a blast though, and I love this picture of her with my friend, Kelly.

Speaking of swimming, the kids have enjoyed getting time in the swimspa. (Another place I been sadly avoiding, but oh well. Eventually my hair will be healthy again.) Seeing them swimming together really feels like summer.

Another thing we did this past week, was that Lily and I met up with my sister, Wendy, for a session at the San Antonio Temple. It was so wonderful to spend time in the house of the Lord, and to have time with my sister. After the temple, we always hang out and talk and catch up. It’s the best.

I have been loving my morning walks, as usual, although because it gets hot so quickly being that it is July, I try to get out and walking by 6:30 am. Because I am there so early, I keep running into a small herd of deer. I love it, even if the poor deer aren’t sure what to think of me đŸ˜‰.

And so yes, July has slipped away, and we are heading into August and all that comes with it, like school starting and going back to work. I am so grateful for the great moments in July and the fun and projects we were able to get in.
