Who am I?

I am a wife, mother of three, a daughter, a sister to six, an aunt to 39, and a great aunt to many (the number keeps getting bigger).

I am a Western girl at heart, as I was born in Arizona, raised in Nevada, went to high school in Idaho (where I met my husband), and went to college in Utah. Since then I have lived all over the country, also including California, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Colorado, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, we moved to Texas and we love it.

In 2001, I was married to my amazing husband, Kevin, in the Salt Lake Temple. I graduated from BYU and then taught 4th grade for two years before my daughter, Lily was born. In 2005, our son, Derek was born, and then seven years later, we had Arthur – the missing puzzle piece to complete our family. It has been an amazing adventure so far.

I have a passion for both photography, reading, and teaching, and after a break while my children were young, and spending 6 years substitute teaching, I went back to full time teaching in 2023. I also really enjoy traveling, golfing, cooking, quilting, watching movies, and blogging. But most of all, I love spending time with my sweet family.
