I am so truly grateful for good fathers in this world, especially my own daddy, Kevin – the father of my children, and Dennis – my wonderful father-in law. I loved seeing this message that the General Young Men’s Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints posted:

“God bless you, wonderful fathers, who point your sons and daughter to the Savior of the world. Your heavenly Father sees you, hears you, and will strengthen you as you do your best to lead your children home.”

Kevin is such a fabulous father to our children, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude that in a world where so few children actually have a father or father figure in their life, my children have him.

We did our best to spoil him with yummy meals and treats, as well as some homemade cards and gifts. I gave him a new golf mat for the back yard, and it was awesome watching Lily and Arthur try to carry it out. Good times!

And even though it has now been seven Father’s Days without my daddy here on earth, I am still always grateful for what he taught me, and for his watchful care from the other side of the veil.
