I am not quite sure how it happened, but our sweet baby girl grew up and finished college. What?! Wow! Technically, because she wasn’t able to get an internship (wow, they are hard to get), she is taking an online course once she gets home, but then she is set to graduate in July. Amazing!
Kevin flew out on Thursday to go and pick her up, and he took with him her boyfriend, Chris. (It was his first time on an airplane – good times!) Once they landed in Salt Lake City, they drove up to Idaho Falls to drop off their rental car and meet up with Lily. Since she was awesome and had already checked out of her apartment and packed up her belongings into the van, when she met them at the rental car return, they were able to drive straight to Twin Falls.

They spent all of Friday in Twin, and Lily was able to show Chris around a town that is very special to her, and where she has lived four different times in her life.
While she was busy with that, Kevin was able to attend the Twin Falls Temple with a lot of my family since my nephew, Luke, was receiving his endowment. After that, when he wasn’t spending time with his mom and dad, he was busy doing all the things, including visiting my sister, Holly, and my mom.

His favorite thing (and what helped him deal with the fact that he was missing my chemo treatment – the only one he has ever missed), was when my brother Preston invited him to join a huge group of my family that was playing golf as a bachelor party type thing for my nephew Austin, who was getting married the next day. Austin, his dad, Stuart, and his brother, Paul were there. (As well as some random long bearded guys who weren’t with the group, but had to get a picture with Kevin.)

He also got to play golf with both of my brothers (Matthew and Preston), as well as a bunch more of my nephews. Pretty awesome, and they had a blast.

They next morning, they hit the road pretty early, and so they missed Austin’s wedding, but they couldn’t stay another day. In fact, they drove all through the night, not stopping at all.

Because of that, that means that they arrived Sunday morning before church!! What an amazing gift and surprise to have them with us for church, even if they were exhausted zombies 😉. The boys were so excited to get their sister back, that they were standing on the sidewalk when they pulled in.

And oh, that amazing reunion hug between the three of them. They love each other so much, and it makes me so happy. We are so happy to all be home together. I know this time won’t last as things progress for the kids in their lives, but I will enjoy having my birds back in the nest for a little while longer.
