I already posted about the discouraging news I have received recently about my cancer. I was so grateful to have Kevin by my side and Pamela with me when I saw the results of my PET scan. It was terrifying and looked like a confetti cannon of tumors went off inside my body. We started cheering for the few organs inside of me that did not have a tumor on the now. (“Go spleen and pancreas! And Uterus!”)

So when we got home from our trip, it was doctor’s appointments for me. There was a scheduled bone strengthening infusion, since I have tumors on my bones. It was there that we got the bad news that insurance won’t cover the pill form of my new treatment, since it is so new, that they hadn’t heard of it, as it got approved by the FDA only a month ago. So it looks like I will have to do the infusion version of the Enhertu instead. But at least I will get treatment (if I can get an echocardiogram scheduled before Friday).

That night, I cheered my self up with chocolate cake from my birthday and watching a Hallmark movie mystery with Arthur. Always a winning combination 😉.

On Friday morning, I had a procedure to get a steroid shot in my spine to try and give me some relief my the horrendous muscle spasms I have been dealing with since the beginning of January. It will take a few days to see if it works, but I am praying for relief.

On Friday afternoon, I had the most wonderful visit with my dear friend, Lisa Carnazzo. She brought me lunch and we talked and talked, since it had been over a month since we were able to get together. I sure am blessed when it comes to friends, and I sure do love this lady!!

She sent me the sweetest scriptures to help lift my spirits. What a blessing.

With everything going on, I needed to make sure that Arthur was still getting in some fun. He especially loved getting to swim and enjoy our wonderful weather.

And I have loved that spring had come to San Antonio while we were in Florida. My roses have started blooming and everything else is waking up after winter dormancy.

And my Redbud was in full bloom, which gives me such joy!! Just look at those spectacular purple blossoms.

We also had the sweetest surprise from a dear friend in Pennsylvania, who sent cookies for the kids, since everything going on with me is also affecting them. It was such a wonderful gesture for her to think of them, and they definitely loved the surprise.

And so although there was a lot of hard things at the end of spring break, there were also tremendous blessings.
