We have had some fun times mixed in with all the other parts of life, which is so good. One of the special things that happened recently, was that one of Kevin’s best friends, Kevin Holbert, was able to visit over the long weekend and play. (I like to refer to the two of them as “Big Kevin” and “Little Kevin.”)

They golfed every day – and each day at a different course. They started with TPC San Antonio, and had a blast, even it was cold and windy. (At least it wasn’t cold like it was in Baltimore, where Kevin H. lives.)

Their last day together, they squeezed in a round at Canyon Springs before they had to head to the airport for Little Kevin to fly home. It was especially cool, because a few years ago, Kevin took him to play at the Canyon Springs Golf Course in Twin Falls as well. It was such a great visit, and we loved having him with us! He even got to be a part of Arthur’s birthday fun. Next time, however, he needs to bring Amy with him as well 😉.

Monday was a day off of school, and it was such an amazing blessing!! My pain was under control enough that I was able to take a walk at the park, which meant that Arthur got to play on the awesome playground. He loves that so much – even if he would prefer with other kids there to play with him.

We were able to get a few things done around the house that I haven’t had the time or the health to take care of since going back to work, but Arthur and I also made time to cuddle up and watch a fun mystery together.

Life has been an adventure since going back to work full time, and although it can be difficult and exhausting, I am so grateful to be in the classroom teaching again. It is just what I need for my heart and mind. I would be in the same pain and probably just as exhausted sitting at home, but I would be missing all the joy.
