I love to read, and I always have. There were definitely periods of time in my life where I didn’t get to read for fun as much as I would like, but between the amazing gift of audio and ebooks, reading is so much easier and convenient now. On my phone I have everything I need, and it was especially helpful when I spent so much of the past five months in doctors’ offices and waiting rooms. What a blessing! And I do always have a physical book on my nightstand to read before bed (even if I usually fall asleep way too fast, and so it takes forever for me to get through the book).

I write and review each book I read on goodreads.com, if you want to friend me. And I love Goodreads so much, because the type A part of my brain wants to have it all organized – and the ADHD part of me can’t remember anything if I haven’t written it down – ha ha! And I love that they celebrate all of my reading at the end of the year.

So here are my books of the year – 185 in total. Pretty crazy! And wonderful too.

* – a book I read with Arthur

** – a book I read with my students

^ – a reread, which means I loved the book enough the first time to read it again

#- an audio book

And of course, I reread The Book of Mormon multiple times each year, and it, or another book of scripture is the first thing I read every day. Because if I am going to read all the books, I should always begin with the words of God.
