In all the chaos that my health has caused in our lives, things keep moving forward, and there have been wonderful things thrown in there. One of which, was Arthur beginning 7th Grade.

How is our baby boy, not only NOT a baby, but a 7th grader?! He was so incredibly excited to start the school year and get back in the swing of things. One of his favorite parts of every day, is that he spends the morning at the Groberg’s house before school. Tayvia is a year older, and Arietta is a year younger, and I think it is awesome that he looks like he is their brother. In fact, the three of them could be triplets 😉.

This year, he is not only in choir again, but is serving on the choir council as a librarian, and is super involved. He is in theater and wants to do the school musical, he wants to be on the cross country team, and so much more. It makes me so happy to see him finding his groove again and thriving.
This week we also got to celebrate Kevin’s 47th birthday. Kevin likes to keep things small for his birthday, and so we had a very simple celebration with just the family.

We have been so incredibly blessed with people bringing us meals and things, but to “control his own destiny,” he signed up to feed us – ha ha! We were able to use a generous doordash gift card from a friend to get Chili’s for dinner, and instead of me making Kevin a cake, he ordered a cake for himself at Costco (one of his very favorite things). And yes, he had them write on it “Happy Birthday to Me!” Perfection!

Derek, aka: Elder Brown, has been amazingly busy. One of the biggest blessings of him being called as a service missionary here in San Antonio, this health crisis of mine, has not disturbed this in any way. Derek hasn’t missed a single service assignment, meeting, or anything. He has the support of his Mission President, Service leaders, District, missionary companion, and all the structure that comes along with it.

His missionary plaque also arrived and is now hanging up in the hall at church, which is so cool!
