Our last full day was packed with fun things. We started off getting delicious croissants at Burdick’s Chocolate Shop & Café in Walpole, New Hampshire.  It is one of Becky’s go-to’s, and my chocolate croissants did not disappoint. Arthur was especially excited about his chocolate mouse 😊.

Our next stop, was the Joseph Smith birthplace up in Sharon, Vermont.  It is rather in the middle of nowhere, but I thought was worth the trip.

We were a little nervous when we arrived to have the closed sign up, even though I had checked the times.  Luckily, they had just forgotten to switch it, and Arthur was willing and able to do it for the Senior missionaries there 😊.

There was the massive 40 ton monument to Joseph Smith, and there was also the foundation to his grandparents’ home, where he was born.

It was so cool, and I’m so glad we went. (And their peonies were blooming, so I had to get a couple pictures 😍)

Our third stop, was lunch at King Arthur Flour, and then Kevin and Arthur took a nap in the car with the air conditioning going while Becky and I perused the entire store 😉. Becky described it to Arthur as it being my “Lego Store” 😂.  Sadly, it didn’t have nearly as many cool kitchen things as Becky said they had in the past, but it was still cool.

On our way home, we stopped at the Vermont country store, which was so awesome.  Our first stop was to get a picture in front of the kissing bridge, especially after Arthur told us that he had never his dad and I kiss.  What?!  Craziness.

Arthur was in heaven looking at all the fun old toys that they had for sale, and I loved all the things 😉. Not only did we buy some fun candy, but we got maple creamies for the road – maple flavored soft serve ice cream, which were so yummy 😋.

After the store, we headed back to the Badten’s house.  Later that night, for old times sake, Becky, Dave, Kevin and I played Five Crowns, and Becky beat us all – even after accidentally giving me a wild card. Nice 😂. Such a great way to finish off the day.

Tuesday morning, we got up and got packed, said goodbye to Becky and Dave.  It had been such a wonderful visit, and I am so glad we were able to make it happen.  Once we got packed up, we drove to the Boston Temple.

It was a big and beautiful temple, and we were so grateful we could visit.  And it brings Arthur’s total number of temples where he has performed baptisms to five, and was his second new temple of the summer. Pretty awesome.

After the temple, we drove straight to the airport for our flight. We got our rental car turned in, checked in for our flight, and made it through security with plenty of time to get some lunch.  We had a layover in Baltimore, and sadly, our already late flight got delayed, and so we were pretty extra exhausted.

A little after midnight we were finally home, and as fabulous as our vacation was, there is truly nothing like sleeping in your own bed 😉.  What an adventure it was though, and I am so grateful for the chance to go.
