Saturday was a lowkey day for Arthur and I, while Kevin was with Kevin playing their last two rounds of golf (in Vermont and Connecticut).  We went with Becky and Dave to Hartford, Connecticut to go and see the Beyond Van Gogh and Monet exhibit.  We got there a little bit early, and Dave was the best hanging out with Arthur – going up in elevators and exploring.

The exhibit was so cool! I loved walking through the sections about each artist and learning more about them.

I think that one of my favorite things were the quotes from Van Gogh from letters he wrote to his brother.

After going through the part of the exhibit where you walked through and learned the background about both artists, there was a special room where you sit as a show of each of artists’ work along to music. It was so cool, and Arthur was entranced.

It really was completely immersive, and I loved how they partnered the music with the various artworks.

At the end, in the gift shop, there was also a place where you could complete your own artwork and display it, which Arthur did.  He also got a cool hat as a souvenir.

On our way back, we stopped a fun breakfast/diner place on our way, which was so yummy.  Later on, back at the apartment, Arthur got to not only get introduced with fun movies and TV shows by Dave, but he also tried his very best have Nigel (the cat) come and sit next to him.  Good times!  I think one of Arthur’s favorite parts of the whole vacation was hanging out with Dave, watching fun shows, and trying to get Nigel to let him pet him 😊.

I took Arthur to the park next door, which he had been longing to check out.  Unfortunately, New England was in the middle of a heat wave, and the temps were almost 100 degrees, plus with humidity, so neither of us lasted long – ha ha!.

After a while, I took Arthur down to the pool.  It is not heated, which seems funny in a place with such a short summer.  I guess it was freezing cold, and he literally jumped right out after jumping in 😂🥶.  I had to give him a pep-talk so that he would give 10 more minutes.  It helped that there was another kid in the pool to play with.
