Lily and Derek have been having such a wonderful time being together at college. They love their weekly D&D nights, they get together for activities, shopping, cooking, etc. These past few weeks, they have had the chance to do some extra fun things. My sister, Cheryl, invited them for the weekend, and they came over Friday night, had dinner, played games, and enjoyed getting to be in a home and being taken care of.

On their way home the next day, they stopped for lunch at one of their favorite places, Chipotle – and Lily even sent us pictures. We love it when she sends us pictures.

That Sunday, Kevin’s cousin Emily had them over to her house for dinner and games. The kids had a blast, and Lily sent me a picture of her untangling Emily’s yarn collection. Pretty funny. One of the coolest things, was that they discovered that Emily’s husband is the head of the Computer Science department, and both Lily and Derek are Computer Science majors. Awesome.

One day, Lily sent me pictures of this fun place near her apartment that sells really great hot chocolate and yummy baked goods. She is excited to share it with Jacob, a nice boy she has gone out with a couple times.

Over the next weekend, the kids had tickets to go see a production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the I-Center. They said it was fantastic!

Every once in a while, they will make dinner for each other, which is awesome. Granted, most of the time it is Lily feeding Derek, but it is still awesome.

Lily had an activity at her bishop’s house recently, and while she was sitting down, a cat decided to camp out on her, which is pretty funny. She then texted to say that it had fallen asleep on her and she didn’t know what to do. Ha ha!

This past week, both of them were able to go and get haircuts as well. They look fantastic.

This past Saturday, Derek and Lily got to go back to my sister Cheryl’s house for a special Halloween party.

They had a blast, especially getting to hang out with their cousins.

There were tons of delicious treats, and even fancy drinks. I love that Lily made sure to take pictures of it all.

Part of the party was playing games – all kinds of games. They even played hide and seek, and Luke won because he climbed to the top of the swingset at the elementary school to hide.

It was such a fun night, and just one more great memory for Lily and Derek to share together.
