August is over, and the school year is trucking along for Arthur and I.  He gets to spend a bit of time every morning with our friends, the Grobergs, as Kevin drops him off there when he is done teaching seminary, and then they take Arthur to school.  He has been loving getting to explore all of their cool toys and things, like this one that you practice coding with.

My life is beyond busy, between school, lesson planning, my new calling as Relief Society President, not to mention all I need to do as a wife and a mother (especially getting Derek ready to leave for college), I am drowning a bit.  In the midst of it all, I got a good laugh the other day when an account I follow on Instagram used my name as an example of something.  She kept repeating, “Well, what about Lisa?” over and over – ha ha!

Last Sunday, there was a get-together at my friend Erica’s home, and it was nice to get to talk to friends.  (Unfortunately for my older kids, it was quite loud and crazy, so they chose to walk home.) 

School has had lots of good parts, even though it keeps me busier than I want to right now.  The other day, we had an assembly with all these great science experiments, and some of my students got to participate in them.  Very fun!

We also do a lot of science experiments and such in class, which allow the kids to work together and explore.  They love it.

I have also loved celebrating birthdays for my students.  Audrina had her birthday, and she loved getting to sit in my chair, wear the glasses and be sung to.  I was also able to nominate one of my students for the Lions Level Up Board, which was awesome :).

One super fun and exciting thing that happened this week, was when I found out from a friend about a free performance of “Dear Evan Hansen” on Thursday. It was the dress rehearsal for the US tour, and we were able to get three tickets, so Kevin took Lily and Derek.  They said it was fantastic!  And so much fun that they got to see it for free too.

On Friday night, we were able to watch the final Star Trek movie as a family.  We had watched the original six movies, and then when we were in Idaho, we had borrowed the Next Generation movies from Kevin’s dad to watch.  It was so fun, and such a great thing to do as a family before Derek and Lily leave for college.
