Life is crazy and packed right now, with school in session and prepping Derek for his first year of college, but we took Saturday and made it a family day, with a trip to Seaworld.

It was a very hot day, and so Arthur got his wish, and we sat in the splash zone, which turned out to be a super cool view of everything.  

Not only did we get wet, but Arthur was also chosen as the volunteer!!  It was a dream come true for him, and he even got to get up close and personal with Clyde (or was it Seymore??).

We hadn’t planned on worrying too much about the rides, but the park was super empty, and so we walked on to all the rollercoasters.  And Lily finally got to try out Catapult Falls, the new log flume coaster, which is such a fun ride.  We rode it for the first time when we were there with Holly and the kids in June.

We stopped to see the sea turtles along the way, which I love to do.

Later on, we got a snack with some special fries with pulled pork and queso – so yummy, and just enough to get us through until dinner.  

For the Beluga Whale and dolphin show, we didn’t get to sit in the splash zone, because we had to be able to leave super quick to make it to the Killer Whale show.  I am always fascinated by those amazing Pacific White-sided Dolphins.

The killer whale show was amazing as usual, but for the first time ever, we were on the front row.  It was AMAZING!  Like, a whole different show, and I felt like we should have payed extra for the seats, even if it meant getting drenched.

I mean, just look at how close we were!!

It really was the perfect end to what was a really fantastic (albeit hot and sticky) day at Seaworld. After we finished up, we stopped at Costco for a few things and got pizza for the kids for dinner, and ice cream for everyone.  Definitely a good day.
