Our last day at Disney was our Epcot day!  I really love Epcot, and not just because of the yummy food ;).

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, it was the Flower and Garden Show there, and so everywhere we looked, there were these amazing topiaries all over the place of different Disney characters.

We started our day at Mission Space, where Arthur and Kevin went on the Orange Team (with the spinning antigravity), while Derek and I went on the non-spinning green team :).

After Mission Space, we got to go on the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride, which was AMAZING!!  Unfortunately, you couldn’t take any pictures, and it was another boarding group ride, so we could only ride it the one time.  After that, it was time to ride one of the boys’ very favorites – Test Track.  They especially love getting to design their own car.

After that, we started our tour of the World Showcase and visiting the different countries.  We really enjoyed riding the Three Caballeros and the Frozen Ever After rides – not because they are great, but because they are boat rides and are so nice and cool.

I had to get what is now our traditional picture of Kevin with his doppelganger, Thor.  Good times!  Too bad Lily wasn’t there to get a picture with her statue as well.

Once again, we ate all the food, and it was so good, from the cheese strudel, the chocolate mousse, and of course, more poutine.

We made sure to ride my favorite ride, Soarin’ a couple times.  (I also discovered that Kevin also hates this ride – he feels like he is going to plunge to his death, and so while I am grinning away, he is terrified.  He hides it well, that’s for sure.) As part of the garden festival, they had this amazing Moana: Way of Water walk, which was super cool – and not just because of the misters all over.

Because we had ridden all the rides, we decided to go on Mission Space again, and Kevin and Arthur took one for the team and went with Derek and I on the green version, which they thought was super boring.  Ha ha!!

Because we finished up Epcot early, we decided to head over to Hollywood Studios for the evening.  We made our way to Star Tours first thing, because it is definitely a favorite, especially for Kevin.

Then we headed over to watch the Beauty and the Beast show for Derek, since he was super bummed we hadn’t been able to watch it the first time we came.  (He has a special place in his heart for the show, ever since he and Lily were in the play his freshman year of high school.)

We also snuck in another visit to Toy Story Mania, which was a blast, even if Kevin destroyed us this time.

We spent some more time wandering around Galaxy’s Edge, and just happened to see Kylo Ren with some storm troopers walk right past us.  It really is the coolest thing how the characters walk around like it is real life.

We flew the Millennium Falcon one more time, and this time, Arthur and I were the pilots.  And we may have run into a lot of things – oh well.  My favorite job was being the gunner.

After we left and were on our way to do another activity, we realized that Arthur had forgotten his pack on the Millennium Falcon.  Oh my goodness – not something you can say every day.  I left the boys doing their thing, and I went back to see if it had been found.  Oh my goodness, they talked me through what felt like a maze of choices to figure out exactly which room the pack would be in, but miraculously, I knew all the answers to their questions!!  And within five minutes, Arthur’s pack was back in my hands.  What a blessing.

Before we headed back to Epcot, we did a little shopping, especially because I hadn’t gotten a souvenir for me yet.  I ended up buying a super cute Ewok sweatshirt, which Arthur promptly commandeered because he was freezing.

We had the prettiest view of Spaceship Earth all lit up as we rode back to Epcot on the Skyliner.  So pretty as it kept changing colors.

We got back just in time, not to ride any more rides, but to get some dessert from the French pastry shop.  Arthur, of course, got the French version of a chocolate chip cookie, and I got this amazing chocolate and raspberry mousse dessert.

It was late and we were exhausted by the time we made it back to our hotel, and we were more than a little frustrated with our airline.  We had spent the entire day trying to check into our flight, but kept gettin the same error message.  We even took turns calling customer service as we walked from ride to ride, but ehy told us that they “couldn’t help us.”  What can they do, if they can’t even check us in??

The next morning, when we arrived, I went to a desk and talked to a human, who managed to get it to work, but it was going to cost us extra money just because I talked to a person.  Seriously?!  Luckily, the guy was super nice, and figured out a way to wave the fee.  Because we ended up being so late checking in, the boys were separated from Kevin and I, but at least they had us grouped in twos. On the good list, however, was that I bought chocolate croissants in France the night before for each of us to enjoy for breakfast :).

Before we knew it, our plane had landed and we were home.  (We were even in time to quickly change clothes and attend the 12pm sacrament meeting at our building, even if it wasn’t our ward.). It was such an amazing vacation, and I am so glad we were able to take a break from real life and have so much fun together.
