Disney Day two was our Hollywood Studios Day, which the boys were all looking forward to.  I mean, they were finally going to get to ride on Rise of the Resistance.  THe second we walked into the park, we got a Lightning Lane return time, and so we went to ride Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway while we waited, which is a super cute and fun ride.  Kevin especially liked acting out the signs of what not to do, which never failed to make Derek laugh, and infuriate Arthur.  Good times.

After that, it was time to get to Rise of the Resistance.  Man, the boys sure were excited, and the ride did not disappoint them.  (Lily and I got to experience it back in 2021, and have been wanting them to experience it ever since.) The ride begins the second you begin the queue, and soon, you are part of the adventure.

I loved watching the three of them experience it all, from the room full of Storm Troopers, to getting captured, to escaping, and all the other fun surprises.  

We may have ridden it multiple times throughout our day at the park.  So much fun!

After riding Rise of the Resistance, we were ready for some food, and so we went to Ronto Roasters to get Ronto Wraps, which were delicious.  Very glad they didn’t feed us the crazy animals they had hanging from the ceiling of the restaurant – ha ha!

We always love our time in Galaxy’s Edge, as it really feels like you have stepped into the world of Star Wars, especially because random Storm Troopers wander around and tell you to shape up, or you will see Chewbacca just standing there.  I mean, even the soda is in the shape of a thermal detonator.  Good times!  We were sure to ride Star Tours multiple times as well, as it is a family favorite.

One of our other favorite rides is Smuggler’s Run, which we rode a couple times, so that we could do different jobs on the Millennium Falcon.

We did go to other parts of the park as well, and had so much fun.

And we went on the Tower of Terror, which I discovered, after all of these years, that Kevin hates this ride.  I guess it terrifies him.  Who knew??  Well, he took one for the team and rode it.  The best though, was my face on picture, which is proof that I also find it terrifying, even if I also find it super fun.

We also spent some time in Toy Story Land, where we had to wait quite a while to ride Slinky-Dog Dash.  Luckily, we were just waiting for our return time, and so instead of standing up in line, the boys could sit in the shade and read their books while we waited.  Such a fun ride though.

Toy Story Mania was even more fun though, and I even beat everyone, but I think it is because Kevin’s shooter malfunctioned.  Good times!

And because we could, we went back to Smuggler’s Run and flew the Millennium Falcon again.  I tried to take a picture of Kevin and I, and in both pictures, we ended up with one of the boys photobombed us – ha ha!

One of our last activities of the day, was to build lightsabers.  First, it was Arthur’s turn.  He built one at the special station in the store outside of Star Tours, and loves his new purple lightsaber.

And then it was Kevin’s turn!  He had a special appointment and everything, but was only allowed to bring one person with him, and Arthur was the lucky one.  He built the prettiest lightsaber, and the experience was super cool, with a cast member fully in character teaching them about the process and the history behind it in this super cool room.  Kevin is so happy with the results, and is having it shipped home to us, so we don’t have to try and take it on the plane.

And then, just because we could, we took the Skyliner over to Epcot, but since we didn’t have a hopper pass for Thursday, we then got back on it and came back to Hollywood Studios to our car.  You get such an amazing view of the parks from up there, and it was nice to sit and relax after going strong all day.

To say that we were all beat, was putting it lightly.  The boys were out almost instantly when their heads hit the pillow, and they looked so sweet, I had to snap a picture.  It was a perfect end to a wonderful day.
