For more years than I can count, Kevin and his dad (and older brother, Scott) have been talking about their dream golf vacation. Their plans have been tweaked over the years, but a few months ago, the stars aligned and they were able to finalize their plans and make it happen. And so I came home from my trip with Lily on Sunday, and Monday morning, Kevin was flying to Myrtle Beach, SC to meet up with Dennis and Scott.
They had a condo in Myrtle Beach for their home base, tee times for every day, took a few field trips to amazing courses that were farther afield, like Sawgrass and Harbour Town, ate good food, spent almost every night soaking in the hotter, and had the best time ever. They even made a side trip to visit a Bucky’s store in Florida and Kevin brought home fun stuff for all the kids. All in all, it was the trip of their dreams, and now they are already planning another one ;). I am so glad that Kevin was able to have this amazing adventure with his dad and older brother – it was well deserved and I loved seeing how happy it made him.
*The rest of this post is taken from his Instagram posts, since I wasn’t there, I figured putting in Kevin’s own words was best.

MONDAY: River Oaks, Myrtle Beach, SC
TUESDAY: TPC Sawgrass, Jacksonville, FL
Today was one of those “all-time greats”. 18 holes on the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass with Dad and Scott, and a lazy alligator🙂.

WEDNESDAY: Harbour Town Golf Links, Hilton Head Island, SC

Another one for the all-time list. We played Harbour Town Golf Links today and had a phenomenal round. Such an amazing course! And no, we didn’t feed the gators😊.

(When they weren’t golfing, they were in the hot tub or watching golf on TV – ha ha!)

THURSDAY: Dunes Golf and Beach Club, Myrtle Beach, SC

Here is the gator encounter we’ve been hoping for all week. Fitting since the Dunes Golf and Beach Club had about 20 signs warning us to “beware the alligators.”

FRIDAY: True Blue, Myrtle Beach, SC and Caledonia, Myrtle Beach, SC

Somehow we were able to power through today and play 36 holes (True Blue and Caledonia). I finally made some birdies and hit some spectacular shots. But definitely the highlight of the day was the Finn Scooters. I rode one in the morning and then we all took them for the afternoon round and it was awesome!

SATURDAY: World Tour Golf Links, Myrtle Beach, SC
Perfect way to end a dream week. We had so much fun playing an easy-going closing round at World Tour Golf Links. We had to get a quick picture at the “Swilcan Bridge”. Thanks for all the wonderful memories!
