On Saturday morning, we woke up early and drove the two hours from our hotel in Palmyra to Niagara Falls.  None of us had ever been, and since we were already so close, we had to go.

We only had the morning to spend there, and so we asked for advice and what to be sure to do, and the top choice was to ride on the Maid of the Mist.  It’s a boat that takes you right up under the falls, and you get really wet, and so they gave us giant ponchos to wear, and Arthur looked so cute in his kid sized one!

The falls were spectacularly beautiful, but I only got pictures with my phone, since I didn’t want my camera to get wet.  Because we got very wet.  But they were so pretty, and the view from the boat was fantastic!  Horseshoe Falls were especially pretty.

I am so glad that people warned us to wear rain coats underneath our ponchos, because although our hands and faces were soaked, the rest of us stayed dry.

On the way back to the dock, we had a fantastic view of the American Falls, which are also very beautiful.

Before we left, we went to the top of the observation tower, which was fantastic.  What a view!

We had a great time, and I am so glad we went.  And on a side note, I am very glad that we got there early, because by the time we got off the boat, the line was insane, and our parking lot had doubled their price for parking.  Wow!  The early bird definitely does get the worm ;).  We hopped in the car, got some lunch, and were on the road home by noon so that we could listen to the first session of General Conference.
