Arthur is so close to being four months old, and I really don't know where the time has gone. The other day I was looking through pictures of him as a newborn, and it blew me away how much he has changed. I guess I should have expected it, since he is now over 16 pounds.
He is so much fun and full of personality, but I am still a sucker for him when he is peacefully sleeping. The other day, I laid him on a blanket in a patch of sunshine, and he instantly fell asleep. It was so sweet.
He loves to sleep in out arms, in his swing, in his bouncer chair, and in his bed. On a good day, he takes two long naps. On a bad day, he takes about ten catnaps, for about 10 minutes each.
Lily loves watching him sleep too. The other night when I went in to say goodnight to her while Kevin was reading with her, I came upon this scene. I love it :).
But as much fun as it is to watch him sleep, it is more fun to make him laugh. He is so funny, especially when he giggles so much that he gives himself the hiccups.
He also makes the silliest faces, sometimes with wild cray eyes, sticking out his tongue, or just flashing his amazing smile.
We keep trying to get him to roll over again. After he rolled over a bunch of times at two months, I think his belly just got too big and so he gets stuck. However, the other day, when he was on his belly playing with his new toy, he rolled again. And he is trying so hard to make it from his back to his belly, and I think it won't be long until he is mobile.
He has also gotten so big, that he doesn't fit in his bathtub anymore. His shoulders reach where his head was supposed to be. Pretty funny. Kevin gives Chewie his baths, and he is really going to miss it when I have to take over.
Arthur also gets to spend a lot of his time getting carted around or waiting for his siblings. He comes to piano lessons, track meets, and to drop them off and pick them up at school. I think his least favorite is the after school pick up, where we sit in the car for 40 minutes or so. I usually climb in the back seet and hold him or entertain him, unless he is lucky enough to sleep through it :).
We sure love this baby boy of ours. He is such a wonderful part of our family, and we are so grateful for him :).
