Last week, my parents were finally able to come out and meet Arthur. It was so wonderful to have them, and Lily and Derek immediately got Grandma to play games with them. It is one of their favorite things.
And Arthur was so happy to meet Grandma Lynn and Grandpa Roy, and they loved him. He was so cute and smiley for them.
While they were visiting, they were wonderful enough to help me paint my bedroom. It had needed a third coat of paint ever since I painted it when we moved in, but I had never gotten around to it. They were such great help, that we had it finished by lunch time, and so I took them out to yummy Chineese food to thank them :).
It was so nice to have them here for a whole week. They got to have scripture study with us every night, and even were here for Family Home Evening on Monday.
Derek taught the lesson about the true meaning of Easter. And then Lily and Derek put on "The Price is Right" for our activity again. It was a blast – just as fun as the first time, and we all loved it!
The best part of the visit was that Lily and Derek were off for Spring Break, and so they had so much time to play with my parents. They played games, read books, watched movies, etc. Lily was constantly making bead creations for them. They had so much fun :).
And I loved seeing them with Arthur.
There is just something special about sharing your baby with your parents, and watching them love on him.
It was such a wonderful visit and we were all sad to see them go. It had been a long time since I had had so much time with my parents, and I loved it.
