We were so blessed to have Valerie, Kevin's mom, come to visit us for a week.  Because of bad weather in Utah and Idaho, it took an extra day for her to get to us, and so we were especially happy when she finally arrived.  And she was so happy to finally get to hold our precious baby :).

It was so fun to watch her with Arthur.  She would hold and cuddle him as much as she could, and just like Kevin and I, she would just stare at him.  Even in his sleep, he is wonderful to watch.

Other than getting lots and lots of wonderful bonding time with little Chewie, Valerie also played with Lily and Derek every day when they got home from school.  They had so much fun with their grandma, and loved every minute of it. 

She also helped me so much, helping clean and make dinner, or just holding the baby so I could take a nap.  It was so wonderful to have her help.

And Kevin and his mom had a project of their own while she was here.  He wanted to make a new blanket for the basement, and so they went fabric shopping and found some awesome Star Wars fabric for it.  Then, they made a perfect throw blanket. 

It turned out cozy and perfect.

Kevin wasn't the only one to get a new blanket.  Valerie brought the most gorgeous quilt that she made for Arthur.  I love every thing about it – and Arthur likes it too :).

Our favorite part is the little Chewbacca she put on it – so cute, and perfect for little Chewie :).

It was a wonderful week, and we were so sad to see her go – especially Arthur, Lily and Derek.  We can't wait for the next time she is able to visit :).
