Being a photographer, I was so excited to take newborn portraits of my baby boy. I didn't take into account how tired and brain dead I was going to feel. Luckily, my little Arthur was photogenic enough to make up for my complete lack of creativity. Isn't he gorgeous?
And wasn't it nice of the hospital to give us this adorable hat?
I love his sweet chubby cheeks and perfect features. He is so beautiful.
And I love how he posed for a "high five" picture for me – I couldn't have planned this one if I tried :).
And I loved using the fuzzy polkadot blanket that came in the mail from our friends the day before.
And the camo blanket that his Uncle Brian sent him. So perfect :).
And he has the most perfect little fingers. I love when he grabs onto my finger with them.
I really love how his pictures turned out even though I was still in my pajamas and exhausted when I took them. Kevin had to take a picture of me taking the pictures – pretty funny.
And for all the great shots I got, there were some great out-takes as well. Like before we brushed his freshly washed hair, or the crazy faces he made, or when it looked like he was flashing gang signs, and that hat that is just a bit too big for him still. I love them all :).
It was a fun adventure, and I am very happy with the results, especially since it means that I can have his picture up on the wall now with Lily and Derek's.
