Time is flying so fast – I can't believe it is already March.  I have been meaning to post for days, but by the time I get to the computer, I have forgotten what Iwas going to write about.  Writing things in my head doesn't seem to work – it has to actually get written down on paper or the thought slips away so thoroughly, I have not only forgotten the details, but what it was I was thinking about in the first place.

And so, since I am having a rough time thinking of what to write, I think I will list the things that made me happy this past week . . .that is, if I can remember them all.

  • Going out on a double date with Dawn and Robert to Alligator Soul.  It is such nice place, and they are such good friends, we had a fantastic time with them eating a leisurely meal and then sampling each other's desserts :).  (Too bad Robert had to head back to Iraq a few days ago.)
  • Lily doing so awesome in swimming!  She is really starting to swim-swim, with her head in the water and everything.  She can even make it all the way across the pool swimming on her back.  (Derek is doing well too, but he is more at the "I just love being in the water stage.")
  • Playing games with Ariel and Jordan.  We played "Race for the Galaxy" – of course, and then "Ticket to Ride."  And I had a lot of fun, even though I was beat soundly.
  • Talking to my friend Saundra on the phone – it had been way too long!!
  • Kevin taking a day-trip to Atlanta on Friday, and not only did he take Derek with him, but he stopped at Costco and the Cheesecake Factory (He was picking up the cheesecake for my birthday on Friday – yum!).
  • Derek saying the most hilarious things, like, "Mom, when daddy comes home, he is going to give YOU a spanking."  If only you could have seen the serious look on his face to go with it!
  • Finding little notes all over the house from Lily, telling me how much she loves me :).
  • IMG_4358Catching Derek at quiet moment, not terrorizing the house, but reading a book :).
  • Watching "The Bachelor" with Marilyn on Wednesday nights after I am done with mutual.  (I DVR it.)  We still have to watch the finale . . . I can't wait, even though he got rid of Jillian :(.
  • Having our Young Women's New Beginnings night go so well!  The girls planned the whole thing, and it was a PJ'S party – It stood for Prayer, Journal, and Scriptures, and we all wore pajamas and sat on sleeping-bags.  So fun!
  • Reading at the end of a long day.
  • Reading in the Car-rider pick-up line each day.  I get there early and then Derek eats snacks and listens to music while I read for a good 30 minutes.  So nice!
  • Having them take my expired coupon at the Honda place when I took my car in today.
  • Taking piano lessons after Lily's lesson is done.  I am so excited about it, even though the practice time is hard to find.
  • A play-date for Derek and Lily's best-friend's little brother, Anthony.  How convenient that he is the same age as Derek!
  • Watching "The Office,"" How I Met Your Mother," and "Big Bang Theory" with Kevin, and laughing hysterically.  Laughter is the best medicine, and when you get to laugh with your husband, it is that much better :).
  • Finishing a project for a friend's birthday, and loving it so much, I did one for myself as well.

PS.  On a sad note, my camera is sick.  I need to take it in, because a weird black dot keeps appearing on my pictures, no matter what lens I use.  I am so not happy about this.  Hopefully it is something simple.

I also love ticket to ride. How I met your Mother and The Office must be a Brown family thing. I know not to call Shannon’s house during that time. I can’t interrupt Scott while he watches those shows:)
