Over the past two weeks I had two missionaries go into the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, Utah.  The first of the two was my nephew Scott – and yes, I am old enough to have a 19 year old nephew – crazy!  He went into the MTC on New Years Eve, and it is so exciting.  He will be serving in the Los Angeles, California Mission speaking Spanish.  (Here he is with his brothers and sisters.)

The other missionary was my friend September's son, Hayden (Whom you have probably heard me talk about a lot on this blog, as he feels like a part of our family too).  We said good-bye to him on Tuesday night before he flew to Provo on Wednesday.  He will be serving in Rome, Italy – so awesome!

It will be so exciting to hear about all of their adventures, and I sure will miss them.

Just a fun note:  Hayden is the one I set up with my niece Maddy when she visited.  They are still in contact and are very close, which is funny since Scott is her older brother and will be at the MTC at the same time as Hayden.  He he!

So that’s why he wasn’t at church yesterday? Since we weren’t at church last week, I guess I didn’t realize Hayden was leaving already. That came so fast! Justin will be home soon now!

How exciting! I love having missionaries to support in the field. Though I don’t miss my hubby being on a mission, that’s for sure. 🙂

Ahh, this brings back memories of Provo days! We haven’t had a missionary in our family since Dustin’s baby brother left . . . like 8 years ago. He came home of course ;p

I’ve read so much about Hayden that it feels like he is part of your family! How cool that he is now serving a mission 🙂 And also how cool that he and Scott will be in the MTC at the same time . . . hmmm, makes me wonder where all these little connections could lead to with Hayden and Maddy – you never know!
And yummy looking brownies by the way, think I might give those a try!
