Because Derek turned 3 just before the new year, that meant he got to be a Sunbeam starting on Sunday – a very young Sunbeam, since some of the kids in his class are almost 4.  He was so excited, especially because his new teacher is our friend Victoria – and if you could only see the way he smiles at her and says her name, you would realize why this was his favorite thing :).

He had a great day, and was so reverent in sharing time, that he actually fell sound asleep on Victoria.  Our friend Marilyn saw her trying to guide her brand new class while holding our not-so-little boy, and took the sleeping guy with her to Relief Society.  So I guess maybe next week he can experience all of class, but I am just happy he was good :).

And just because, I thought I would include these two other pictures of my guy . . .

I always finding him holding random toys in his sleep, but Kevin and I thought these golf balls were worthy of a picture.

And this was right before Christmas, which was only fitting, since the pizza sauce on his nose makes for a great Rudolf impression :).  It is always fun times with Derek.
