I have learned that when Kevin gets that twinkle in his eyes, just to sit back and let things happen. So on Thursday, as he told me he was going to make himself a Jedi cloak, I laughed, not from disbelief, but because I knew he would do it and that it would be fabulous.
After visiting four different fabric stores, he came home with 9 yards of black fabric.
Then there was the hours of cutting and measuring on Thursday night . . .
and let's not forget all the pinning . . .
And then on Friday there was sewing . . .
And at 5:45 – fifteen minutes before our Halloween party – he completed his work. And let me just say, it was worthy of a Jedi (or a Sith Lord – he he!).
Kevin and I were talking when he was in the midst of his plans, and he told me, "I guess you are never bored with me around." And I told him that was why I married him – one of many reasons :).
PS. He didn't even have a pattern – just some obscure picture on the internet :).
