Being “Uniform”

I know that people love having their kids wear uniforms, but I have to admit I was pretty sad when I knew Lily would have to wear them for school.  No creativity, cute outfits, bright, fun colors, etc.  So, when I went shopping for her school clothes, I decided that if she had to wear uniforms, at least they would be cute. 

Carefully I shopped around and found my favorites, finding the best stuff at Children's Place, then filling it in with some things from Old Navy, Target, and some stuff on clearance at Gap, and we got her school wardrobe.  After seeing a few pictures of Lily in her uniforms, my sister requested that I post pictures of all her outfits, and so here they are:

(The last three outfits she has in both khaki and navy blue.)  So I have to know which is your favorite?  Lily loves the solid navy dress in #2 and wants to wear it constantly.  My favorite is her pleated navy skirt in #3, which is probably why she hardly wants to wear it :).  Because, yes, even with uniforms, my daughter will still argue over clothes.  He he!

    I love uniforms because it makes it easy to decide what to wear. My kids only have 2 choices and Hayden only gets one. At least you have lots of options and then make up for color with hair stuff.

    There all cute but I kinda like #1…I would wear it! Have fun at Wicked tomorrow…Im totally envious!

    Wow! These are all so cute. I am so impressed with what you’ve come up with. Love them all. My favorite is the navy capris with those AWESOME shoes. She looks adorable.

    I can’t really chose. I think the ones that Lily is doing an especially cute pose are my favorites. She looks sweet in all of the outfits. #1 and #6 if I have to chose any at all.

    I like 2 best. But I think all of them are adorable. I’m one of those people who loves uniforms. Maybe I’ll have my kids wear them even if they don’t have to. (Haha. Just kidding. Mostly.)

    What a cute poser!! My daughter likes to pose too. Maddy’s daughter wears uniforms too and I remember she had cute accessories to spice it up. Red shoes and red bows!!

    she’s got a GREAT uniform wardrobe! She looks totally cute in all of them. But #1 is one of my favorites, mostly because of her pose! 🙂 I also like #6 with the navy capris.

    I agree with you Lisa, I really like the pleated skirt. But I do think the dress is pretty cute too! She’s got pretty cute clothes for a uniform!

    Hey — we have that dress from Target. And I swear Gymbo has the BEST polos. They are expensive but so so cute. You just have to use gymbucks. I love Childrne’s place the next. My fav has to be the jumpers. Probably because Ellie won’t wear hers anymore and she was so darn cute!
