Back in September, Kevin and his dad got to live a dream. They got to go watch the Ryder Cup. I know, you are all thinking, how much more lucky can Kevin get? Hasn't he already had more than one amazing golfing experience this year? But yes, there is more. He is that lucky :).
For those of you who are not into golf and don't understand the significance of this, it is a huge competition between Europe and the USA. It only takes place every other year, and is only in the US every other time, and so it is nearly impossible to get tickets. So when Kevin's best friend Glenn said he had the opportunity to buy two tickets to this years tournament in Kentucky, but couldn't use them, Kevin and Dennis jumped at the chance to go.
Complete with matching shirts and hats, they set out to have the time of their lives, getting to see so many amazing golfers it would be hard to list them all. They had crazy adventures with peanut butter, buses, and the crowd of 50,000 people. Brian even got to join them for a day – which was a great reunion since it had been 3 years since Kevin saw him last. And then, for the first time in a long time, the US even won the tournament. What could be better?
When I asked Kevin what his favorite part of the whole thing was, he told me that it was sharing it all with his dad. I am so glad that he had this opportunity, and I know the memories will last him a lifetime.
