So, I was tagged by old friend, Jessica, to do a "Seven Things about Me" post, but one thing about me is that I like to tweak things a little, and so I am turning it into a "Seven Favorite Things This Week" post :).  (Hope you don't mind Jessica – he he)

#1 – Hot Cocoa:  I am in LOVE with this Land O Lakes French Vanilla Hot Cocoa!!  Even though it is warm here, I find myself having a cup every night as my dessert.  This actually works out really well, since it only has 3 grams of fat – so it is even healthy, right?  And the whipped cream is healthy too :).

Img_9455#2 – Taylor Swift: I am just loving this Taylor Swift song, Picture to Burn.  I keep wishing it had come out when I was in high school – I would have totally done it for a Madrigal solo :).  It would have been my theme song – so fun!

This song of hers is also awesome and very fun to sing.  It would have made a great solo too, but the first one fits who I was my senior year so much more :).  (And Danielle, there are great "Tambourine girl" parts too – ah, those were the days.)

#3 – Reality TV:  To be more specific, Dancing with the Stars and American Idol.  I totally look forward to watching both shows each week.  In Dancing with the Stars, I don't have a real favorite yet, but I am leaning toward Jason and Edyta, Shannon and Derek, and Kristi and Mark.

Michael Johns is my favorite for American Idol, and has been since the very first audition.  He is awesome!  I especially loved this performance, but mostly because Lily kept saying, "He's singing Mickey's Sports Song!!"  She had heard the song on Playhouse Disney Radio Disney like two days before – he he!

#4 – My Calling in Young Womens:  I am just loving working with those girls, and each week as I get to know them better, I am loving them more.  Last night we had an activity at my house where I taught them how to make strawberry freezer jam.  (I thought they should learn how easy it is early on, rather than mistakenly thinking it was hard, like I did for years.)  We had a great time, the girls did it all, and we all came away with a jar of jam – so fun!

#5 – Yoga Kids: I sure love my sily kids, and I love anything that makes them even happier.  Lily has been doing this yoga video at preschool for a while, but we finally bought Yoga Kids to have at home.

Lily loves it and wants to do it every day.  It is really good for her too, as she is one who tends to get wound pretty tight.  Here are both kids doing their best at the "dog pose."

#6 – Good Books:  I have always loved to read, and having book clubs has got me reading a lot of books I might have passed over or never heard about.  Right now I am reading The Thirteenth Tale, by Diane Setterfield, and it is really good so far.

Last week I finished Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, which was really cool.  For our book club tonight, we are going to wander around downtown Savannah, visiting places in the book.  I can't wait!!

#7 – My Photography Class:  On Tuesday I started my final photography class (unless we move somewhere that offers more – he he!).  It is a portraits class, and our first assignment was to do a self portrait – so not me.  I just don't go there, as I have the hardest time with it all.  The focus of the assignment was to show who each of us are in the photo, even if we don't include ourselves in the picture.  Here are my favorites – which do you like best?

**Note: Kevin is always on my list, but my favorite thing for him doesn't happen until next week.  He is living out a dream, getting to play in a PGA tour Pro-Am at the Verizon Heritage tournament – so awesome.  Be ready for a great post on that next week :).

Oh, and I guess this this was a tag, I am supposed to tag seven people . . . let's see . . . I tag Jill, Leslie, Danielle, Melissa, Jen, Saundra, and Valorie – and anyone else who wants to do it.  I can't wait to see your seven favorite things are this week :).

First of all, I am going to have to buy myself Land O Lakes hot chocolate, which I didn’t even know they made. That looks delicious!
Second, it was so fun wandering around Savannah for our book club tonight. Too bad we can’t do that with all our books – wander through the settings.
And third – I love the very first picture you did for the self portrait – with the kids jumping on the bed and you to the right looking through the camera in the mirror. It captures a little slice of life and spontaneity.

I love Taylor Swift too, My ringtone on John’s phone when I call him is “Our Song”. I discovered her on the radio this past summer when I really started to get into country. And I really like the picture in the bottom left corner where you’re playing with Lily and Derek. So cute! But I do like all of the pictures. Last night’s book club was so fun!

Thanks for tagging me. Hopefully I’ll get to do it this weekend! Also, my favorite pictures: 1.)the one of you praying – what Mom doesn’t spend some quality time on her knees when dealing with Heavenly Father’s children?? 2.)You and the kids laughing. Too cute. Good job!

I’ve been tagged! I know that you have tagged me before, and I promise I will follow through. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love that picture of you and your kids laughing–so much love there! I also had to watch those Taylor Swift videos, I could see myself rockin’ the tamborine on those. Loved it.

Not to spoil AI for you — but I hope you aren’t too bummed.
I’m glad you love your new calling. I keep wondering how depressed I’ll be once I’m released. And then I think about how long I’ve been in and think IT’S TIME TO BE RELEASED!

I love making strawberry freezer jam. It’s so easy, but I definitely feel more guilt about eating it now that I know how much sugar it has! ๐Ÿ˜€ I love those pictures of you on the bed with your kids. Adorable! You did a great job capturing your personality in those!

Hi Lisa! I found you through Danielle’s blog – have enjoyed catching up a bit on your adorable fam (HI KEVIN!) & was wondering if you could send me the strawberry freezer jam recipe? Random, I know…but how yummy does that look!? Wow! ๐Ÿ™‚
