On Saturday night, Kevin and I went with our friends, the Cardiffs, to watch their son Hayden in his school's production of "Alice in Wonderland." We decided to take Lily, because we knew she would love it. Their youngest son Taz was there too, and he and Lily had so much fun.
It was in a theater in downtown Savannah, which was gorgeous and really added to the magical atmosphere for Lily. ( Just check out the beautiful details of the building.)
The show was good, and Hayden was awesome as the caterpillar, but my favorite thing was watching Lily. She loved every minute of it – she overlooked any bad acting or singing, and got lost in the magic of Wonderland. She was so carried away, that at times she would try to break out in song along with the actors (even though she had never heard the songs before). It was easy to tell that she wished she could be up there, and would have been right at home on the stage.
Afterwards, she and Taz went around with their programs getting autographs from all the cast members. It was adorable how starstruck they were :). It was such a fun night, and something we will have to definitely do again with her.
