I know it is silly that I should have been unhappy with our 50 degree weather we have been having in Savannah, especially when so many other places are freezing, but what you have to understand is that it is our normal 60+ degree weather in December and January that makes it worth dealing with the bugs and the extreme summer heat/humidity.

Needless to say, I was overjoyed when yesterday was 75 and today was 78.  Both days we went outside to play and enjoy the gorgeous weather, hoping that we made it out before the bugs decided to make their appearance :).  Yesterday we went to the park in the afternoon, and I spent a good hour on the balcony with Derek while Lily was at school (and miracle of miracles, we made it the whole hour without any of our 5 neighbors coming outside to smoke – yea!!).

While we were enjoying the weather, I decided to play around with my camera, and so I took a bunch of pictures.  Here are my favorites . . .

I love this last picture of Lily with the chalk all over her bum – so cute :).  It was a nice afternoon – both days – and much needed to chase away the "blaws" that seemed to have settled on all of us.  Img_8267

And hey, just so you don't feel too upset about the beautiful weather we are having, I did get bit by a few sand gnats, nasty little buggers – I guess they like the weather too.   He he!

i don’t blame you for loving it. here, it’s been pretty good but Florida’s warm weather was amazing, but like you said; bugs (seriously crazy bugs), humidity, lots of rain. so glad you got to play in the sun. chalk outside sounds fun, i bet carlee would love that!

I am jealous, shorts and flip flop weather. But I grew up in Florida and it is the winters that make you get through the nasty summers.

It looks like Savannah is having some great weather! I’m sorry you have to deal with bugs. Yuck! Hawaii has similar weather, with the high being 79 every day in the winter. Thankfully we don’t have the bugs that will eat you! Just cockroaches, and we don’t see too many. We keep our house clean and spray periodically. That keeps them in check. Enjoy your weather!

so, do you guys even own sweaters anymore? With weather that great year round it seems like you would only have to invest in a spring/summer wardrobe.
Well, your pictures outside (and Lily in shorts) are totally making me jealous. 75! That is amazing!

I have to agree–warm weather is wonderful but don’t you sometimes just crave wearing a sweater? I’m reading all these reports on the snow in Idaho and I’m getting a bit jealous about it! (But maybe I am more jealous about the school days than the actual snow)

When I said school days, I meant snow days. 🙂

You are so DANG LUCKY Lisa!!! It is only in the 30s here. Oh well, I know you’ll be cookin’ come May or June. Man do I miss Savannah!

I know what you mean about missing the warm weather. Our was awful last week and the beginning of this week. I’m glad we’re back up to 72 today!

Wow! Kent and I are really happy here in Rexburg, Idaho today because for the next week it is going to be in the low 30’s. I’m not exaggerating. Today I’ve been walking around without a coat on because I’m so excited that it finally got above 28 and the sun is out. I guess “nice weather” is all relative…
