Back in the beginning of November, Emily Kate inspired me to think of things I was grateful for each day. I took up the challenge, and have been keeping track of them in my sidebar. It was amazing the things I could find to be grateful for, and usually there were so many things to choose from, that is was difficult. So, here is my completed list, and although it only scratches the surface, it was a wonderful, and much needed, reminder to me of how many blessings the Lord has given me.
1. Having my sharing time for Sunday finished before I left on vacation, since I would not have had time for it this week.
2. Getting to visit my husband at training Saturday night – the kids were so happy to see him!!
3. Daylight savings time giving me a MUCH needed extra hour in bed.
4. Derek actually staying in bed until 6:45 am.
5. My friend Lynnae calling and distracting me – I had been feeling really ill, but by the time we were done talking, I hardly noticed.
6. Playing dentist and doctor with Lily – she was hilarious, acting out everything that happens to her at either place. She even made me wear sunglasses at the dentist’s :).
7. Cellphones are amazing things, and even though there was bad reception, because of them I got to talk to my husband today.
8. I am so grateful for my sister Holly. Today I had so much fun talking to her, and I miss her terribly!
9. I am really thankful for bonus money in the Army. But especially for my amazing husband who does so well in his job to qualify for it in the first place.
10. I am grateful for absolutely no places to be today.
11. Lily was really good in Primary today, which is always a huge blessing for me.
12. I am so thankful for playing with friends at the park, and talking to my best friend Katie on the phone. She lives in Maryland and I miss her!!!
13. The kids getting to sleep just before book club started. Oh, and Kristi and Melissa showing up and having a great time with me :).
14. Kevin coming home!!!!!!!!!!
15. I am so grateful for the 15 minute nap I had on the couch this afternoon. I would not have survived without it.
16. Sharing a wonderful lunch with Lily and Kevin at Lily’s Thanksgiving Feast.
17. Having an amazing husband who suggests we get dinner out when I am too worn out to cook :). And having the best pizza ever from Mellow Mushroom.
18. Sunday – a day where even if I am busy at church, it is made for me to take it easy with my family.
19. Derek making me laugh while he tries to get me to chase him.
20. Kevin taking us all out for dinner again, since I was too sick too cook.
21. The Army not getting it’s way and having Kevin fly out the day before Thanksgiving.
22. An amazing and relaxing Thanksgiving Day with my family.
23. Kevin being such an awesome husband, that he once again came with me on our early morning shopping trip.
24. After 3 weeks of feeling so ill, finally feeling better.
25. I am so grateful for the Sister Missionaries and the Cardiff boys. They made what would have been a very lonely Sunday so much fun!!
26. Lily telling me that her favorite part of today was me picking her up from school. It was so sweet.
27. Getting all but 5 of my Christmas cards out in the mail. Thank goodness I get to check that off of my list!!
28. The Sister Missionaries stopping by because they "had a prompting" that I needed my trash taken out. They are so amazing, and I really did need my trash taken out :).
29. Little Caesar’s $5 "hot’n ready" pizza and a box of Krispy Kreme donuts to share with my kids :).
30. My amazing family – each and every one of them!! But especially, my husband and my two beautiful children. They are truly my blessings every day.
