We had some big changes take place at church this week, as they realigned our ward boundaries.  For those of you not familiar with ou church, we are devided into “wards” based on population distribution of the members.  Well, because certain areas had and have been growing, a change was definitely needed.

Because of this, I was released as Primary President, and although I will NOT miss the stress that came with my calling, I will really miss being with those kids.  I am hoping to get called right back into primary :).  We’ll have to see what happens.  And hey, change is good, right ?

Yay! You got released! Our RS President will be moving in a few months, so I’m anxious to be released as well. Now I know I’m safe from being called as President, since Beau is in the bishopric!

I know what you mean about mixed feelings, but next Sunday actually getting to go to SS and RS will be so nice for you!

It’s always a mixed blessing when being released. Sometimes it can be hard to leave something that you worked so hard in…and then a worry thinking where they may put you next. Whenever I think it’s time for a change, Dan always says “Be careful what you wish for.”
Oh, and sometimes it’s so painful to change wards….hope things when smoothly

Awwwwww, that is so hard. I can only imagine how you feel — a little relief and a little sadness. I know I complain a lot about always having to fill callings and running around all Sunday, but I know I’ll be sad when my time is up. I’m pretty sure I’ve got a least a year left (they just did the RS Presidency, and they need to do the YM and YW before theyll even get around to Primary again), so I try not to think about it.

Change can be hard, but it usually ends up being for the best. I had a really hard time with my last ward change and was SO homesick for my old ward, but now a year into where I am I’m finally starting to settle in and get over some of my initial inhibitions. I’m sure it’s hard to leave your calling behind, but who knows what is in store for you next?! And whatever it is, like you said…change can be a good thing 🙂
