I love General Conference! I love listening to the prophet and the apostles as they teach of Jesus Christ and bear testimony of Him. I love how it feels that all of the talks seem to be exactly what I need to hear – to help me feel peace, and to help me have the strength to continue forward.
This conference really helped solidify some things that have been on my mind a lot lately. Elder Henry B. Eyring seemed to hit the nail on the head for me, as he spoke about continuing to serve, and not giving up. Things where we live can be a little frustrating, especially with my calling. There have been times when I have felt that I was serving with little or no support, however, I know that my calling was from the Lord. All I need to do is look at those children in the primary each week to realize that, even if it is difficult, I will continue to be there each week to serve them. I will continue to do my best until I am called to work elsewhere.
As the world continues to get scarier and scarier, it becomes more important for each one of us to be strong. We need to stand for what is right and good, and pass on to our children that knowledge. We need to continue the work, and we need not do it alone. Our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ are there to help us every step of the way – to help us overcome discouragement, fear, or whatever may be holding us back. I am so grateful for my Savior and all He has done for each one of us. I want you to know that I have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. To close this post, I want to leave you with a special Primary song we are teaching the kids this year. Download ill_follow_him_in_faith.mp3
