Remember to please post your guesses on the previous post by March 1st – and we'll see who gets the prize :).  I really just want to know who is reading my blog, and the prize is added incentive to post a comment.  (This means you too, Mom and Dad, as I know you are reading – he he!)

In other realms of our life, we are doing well.  I managed to get in and out of church on Sunday relatively unscathed :).  I took Derek to the Doctor last week, and found out my hunch was right – he had an ear infection.   Can I just tell you how nice it is to have my happy baby back?!  The drastic change showed me how miserable he must have been feeling.Img_3539_1

Lily is as silly as ever, and I hope that never changes :).  I would laugh so much less if it wasn't for her.  She was really on one last Friday while I was at an appointment.  When I came home, Kevin was full of Lily quotes and pictures of that moody little girl of ours.  Some of the highlights were:

  •  She was whining and crying that 4 shows wasn't enough, she wanted 5.  After being told that Kevin didn't want to hear another word about it, every time he walked by she would hold up 5 fingers.  (I am still shocked that she stopped talking – that is a miracle in itself – he he!)Img_3523

  •  After doing the above for awhile, she started showing him a fist instead.  He asked why, and in a defiant little voice she said, "I'll show you zero, I am too tired for five!"  That girl, that girl.  You just never know with her :).Img_3525_1
  •  Later, when Kevin was taking a picture of Derek – who was actually behaving quite well – Lily ran in front of him and said, "Derek is too little for pictures!  I am getting in his way!"Img_3528

On a better note, Lily had received some Diego Legos to go with her Dora ones (Grandmas are amazing at finding things!!).  She needed a "Rescue Center" to go with it, and so she and Kevin built one.  It was pretty fun :).

Well, I am too tired to write anymore, even though I could go on and on :).

PS.  We just got home from Swimming lessons, and Lily touched the bottom of the pool in the deep end and was excited about it!  Prayer works miracles – it made my baby girl brave :).

LOL @ Lily. What a crack up!
And you know, I am all about a happy baby, too. Ear infections are so, so painful (I only had one, but can remember it well!)
What cute kiddies you have Lisa!

We love Lily quotes so much! Although I think our favorite was still when she would say “Why momma, why? What do? What do?” over and over. It was just so cute and so dramatic. What a cutie!
