One year ago today, this sweet little boy, Derek Michael Brown, was born.  What an amazing blessing and gift.  As I look back over the last year, it blows me away how much he has grown and changed  – and how different he is from the tiny little guy in the picture.  Now, he is bursting with energy – everywhere at once, and into everything.  But he was, is, and always will be my sweetheart little boy.

PS.  Yes, it is the same hat – a gift last year from my sister Heather :).
