Img_2325 Okay, so my friend Cindy and I know that our husbands love us, because they put up with our crazy schemes.  Let me explain . . .

Cindy is my amazing friend, and she was showing me her wedding pictures, which were cute, but she was missing something . . . a portrait she could hang on their wall.  This got me thinking – I knew she had her dress, Isaac had his suit, and so, why shouldn't I take some pictures for them?  They haven't been married too long, and so I brought up the idea to Cindy, and we jumped on it.  (Okay, so we waited until the summer heat was gone, but then we got right to it.)

This weekend we did it!!  We all (including Kevin and the kids) drove about 45 minutes to Oldfield Plantation, a beautiful place where her sister works, and we took some great pictures.  The funniest part of the day was when we were getting Cindy dressed.  We were in the women's locker room at the clubhouse (It was so beautiful, by the way), and women kept coming in and making a fuss over her, thinking it was her wedding day.  He he!

The pictures turned out great, that is once the wind died down and we stopped freezing to death (It was only like 50 degrees, but that is COLD here, and I have definitely gone soft.)  To see more of the pictures, check out my photo album.

Once the pictures were finished, it was time to play :).  We went to Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island, a beautiful resort area.  (Oh, I think we had to have passed at least 30 different golf courses throughout the day.)  We had lunch at the Salty Dog, a fun seafood place, and then we saw the 3 beautiful parrots that live just outside.  They were really cute and fun, until one of them decided to make a horrible sound and scare Derek to death – it made him cry.

After that, we went to the Harbour Town lighthouse, where Cindy used to work.  It had a great view of the 18th hole at Harbour Town – which Kevin said is the next great course he, his dad, and his brothers need to play :).   Lily's favorite parts, other than the parrot, were the great playground, and the cookie we bought her that was bigger than her head!  So fun!

It was such a great day, and we even mustered up enough energy for a quick trip to the Outlet mall on our way home.  So glad I have those crazy ideas . . .

Wow, how fun! I love the pictures 🙂
I was sooo sick on my wedding day and a lot of the pictures of me show my red eyes from being up coughing all night the night before, AND my photographer never got a good full length shot of me showing off my dress either, so I did the same thing that Cindy did. I had some pictures taken of me in my dress at the beach after the honeymoon and all. But hey, when you pay that much money for a dress you want some good shots that will last a lifetime 🙂

Oh you are too funny! That sounds just like something I’d want to do ; )
How sweet of you to arrange for her to do that and take those pictures, I’m sure it meant so much to them.
Looking at those links makes me miss Savannah! It’s such a pretty town with an amazing pecan/candy place (I should stay away!)
It also looks like it’s not too cold!
    Enjoy these perfect fall days!

wow — what a busy day! It really sounds like you have become very familiar with the area — the cool places to see & eat at. Maybe someday you can give us a tour!

You did a wonderful job on Cindy’s pictures! You have been a great help to Cindy getting her started with photography. She just needed a little encouragement. The pictures she just did with the Koth girls
were great! I just wanted to say thanks for your help. Cindy’s MOM
