What a wonderful day!!  We all missed Kevin so much, especially Derek.  It is amazing how much he missed his dad, even though he is so young.  When Kevin got home last night, Derek could not keep his eyes off of him – in fact, he kept feeling Kevin's face, like he was checking to make sure he was really there.  It was really cute.  And this morning when Lily woke up, she was ecstatic that daddy was "back in Georgia with all of us."

So today, we had a family day.  We lounged around this morning, went to Sam's Club (A brand new one, and it is so much nicer than the old one!!  It is much more like a Costco now.  Yea!!), and had a great time wandering, and spending money, of course  – he he!  We had Chic-fil-A for lunch, and I spilled my entire lemonade on my lap – sad.  I still had a milkshake to enjoythough, so it was all good.

  Later, and definitely the highlight of the day, Kevin and Lily put together our "Pirate Pumpkin Mr. Potato Head" – yes, you read that right.  It was this awesome kit we got in our Halloween package from Grandma Valerie.  (She also included the cutest Halloween wall hanging.)  They had so much fun, and it turned out adorable.   Oh, and Derek liked wearing the container as a hat.

Last, but not least, Kevin and Lily got to enjoy a yummy pumpkin pie, courtesy of Sam's Club.  Derek even got his first tastes, and he LOVED it!!!  He was sucking it off Kevin's finger :). 

It was a wonderful day, and it just got better – Kevin just handed me a Snickers bar – I was craving chocolate, and I hate pumpkin pie, so it will be my treat.  (He went all the way to the gas station down the road to get it for me – I am pretty darn lucky!)
