A Day at the Beach

We had the greatest family outing today!  We had been promising Lily that she could go to the aquarium and the beach as soon as she had potty power, and so we took advantage of our gorgeous weather and went to Tybee Island.  (It's only about 25 minutes away, and is the cutest little beach town.)

First we went to the little aquarium they have there (Tybee Island Marine Science Center).  It is no Monterey Bay Aquarium, by any standards, but it was cute, cheap, empty, and more importantly, Lily loved it!  She got to see fish, turtles, an alligator – an even got to touch a huge shark tooth.

After the aquarium, we walked the few steps to the beach.  It was so nice there – the tourists were gone and the weather was gorgeous.  Lily had fun building sand castles with Kevin, and Derek had a blast eating sand :).  It was a wonderful day!!

    Wow, It looks like you guys had a ball. Or weather in Oregon is a downpour of rain for the past few days. we love the beach. Looks like some great pictures.
    P.S. We love the Monterey Bay Aquarium too. We used to live close and would visit it often:)

    It’s so weird for me to imagine a sunny day at the beach right now! It’s just been cold and rainy here lately, so enjoy some sun for me too 🙂

    I love that bottom middle picture of Lily! How do you get your pictures together like in those 9 that you did? I have been trying to figure that out, mine alwys have a space between them! Love the polaroid shots!
