Our weekend was pretty low key, especially with Kevin at work, but we always manage to have a little excitement with Lily and Derek around :).  We had Stake Conference, which is always an adventure with young children.  I learned early on, just to camp out in the Relief  Society room for the two hours.  I can listen, and sometimes when they have it hooked up to a TV, even watch. 

Kevin did shave his head as soon as we finished our pictures last week, and although I prefer hair, he loves to change it up every once in a while, so it's fine with me. 

Derek continues to injure himself as he is attempting the whole standing/walking thing.  (I just don't remember Lily getting hurt as much, but as my mom reminded me – Derek is a boy!  It really does make a difference.)

I have been busy with Primary stuff, but it has been so much nicer since the program.  I still have tons to do, but the next major thing is the Trunk-or-treat, which should be simple enough.  My fun adventure for the weekend was starting to teach my friend Cindy to quilt.  (I know only the very basic stuff, but I had an AMAZING teacher, my mother-in-law, and so I feel pretty good about passing along what I know.)  Her husband is gone out on field training exercises for the Army, and so it has been an extra project for her to pass the time :).  We have learned, however, that we need to be more careful about talking while we cut the material though . . . lets just say that we need to make another trip to the fabric store – he he!

And last, but certainly not least, LILY!  Lily got a haircut – just a much needed trim, but she was so cute.  She sat perfectly still – miracle!!  And all for one piece of candy corn – thank goodness for Halloween candy.  Check out the before and after pictures:
