So, on Saturday night I indulged myself – I put Lily's hair up in sponge curlers.  I had never done it before, so had no idea how it would turn out, but she sure looked cute with them in.  Img_10201

She also didn't complain about them at all, until her head hit the pillow, of course.  She wanted them OUT!  Somehow I managed to distract her enough to forget they were there, and this is how she looked for church.  Pretty silly, but so much fun!Img_10221_1

Derek is proving what a silly boy he is every day.  He is still getting stuck in crazy places all the time – like the side of the couch, and he has begun standing up on anything!!  I am so afraid that boy will walk very soon.  Img_10231

He is only 6 1/2 months old, but he thinks since he is so big, he is older than that.  We also continue to find him in strange corners of the apartment – he sneaks away like a super secret ninja spy – he he!Img_10171

The most fun though, was the other day when we got out the bubbles.  Lily blew them, and Derek just marveled at them.  Img_10071

He would also try to catch a couple, but was just a little to slow on the draw.  Lily usually beat him to them.  All I have to say, is that life is pretty fun around here with my little girl and my little boy :).Img_10121

I love the sponge curlers! Every school, family, or other portrait I have of my up to the age of 6 or 7 I’ve got the sponge curler “do”. I remember also wearing those every saturday night so I could have pretty hair for church. It’s fun to see that a trend like this never dies!

    Lilly looks adorable!
I just wanted to mkae sure that you know the actual date of your sons birth. He is way advanced!! My oldest walked at 9 1/2 months which is way early, but I think that he will be walking long before that. Was anyone there to witness the birth???

I too, had sponge curlers every Saturday night! Lilly looks o-so-cute with ringlets!
My cousin’s little girl walked at 8 months, mostly because she was so determined to keep up with her big brother and follow him around everywhere. Looks like Derek might be the same way!
