I remember my mom once telling me, that she knew her life had changed when her children started raising 4-H pigs.  (My mom grew up in Miami, Florida – very much the city girl.)  Well, marriage has a way of doing that to all of us.  We reach a point where we look at something we are doing, and we stand back and say, "I know my life has changed . . ."

I had one of those experiences the other day, as I sat reading my fifth Star Wars book.  Yes, I just said, my fifth STAR WARS BOOK!!!  I was searcing for something to read a while back, and Kevin got me to read The Courtship of Princess Leia, which started all this madness.  The funniest thing about it is that I am really enjoying them.  Go figure.  But like I said before, you know your life has changed . . .

I have those moments all the time too! For instance, all my life I have been TERRIFIED of snakes, especially the little garden ones. I would practically hyperventilate everytime I saw one (and sometimes still do) however now I have two little boys obsessed with snakes and bugs. I find their little rubber snakes all over the house, and even in my bed from time to time. I find myself getting more and more used to it all, and have to say I am quite proud that the fake snakes don’t make me cry anymore! These are the moments when I say to myself, “wow my life has changed, I have a Bailey and a Zach!”

LOL! Lisa — I can’t believe you have been persuaded by the powers of the Dark Side! Scott read about 75 star wars books last summer — for him to put that must time into something, it must be entertaining. Mmmm, I can’t think of anything off-hand that I have changed since marriage. But I can tell you that I have gotten Scott to make a scrapbook page. Oh, I do actually enjoy sitting down to watch golf on tv — something I definitely would not have done if I hadn’t married Scott!
    Great post!
