It all began with our new couch, and the pillows that I just couldn't bring myself to live with.  I was determined to take them apart and make new fronts for them, and this sparked an idea in Kevin's head that he would not let go of.  He decided that he was going to make something with that crazy "crop circle" material that I was getting rid of – and of course, he couldn't make any old thing, he was going to make the old pillow fronts into a pair of shorts.  One thing about that crazy husband of mine, once he gets an idea, there is no stopping him, so I let him run with it.  Img_05171

Then came the day we took apart the last pillow, as I had finished all the new fronts, and he swooped in – commandeering my sewing machine and ready to get to work.  He set out with no pattern, and really no clue what he was doing, relying on a wife who REALLY didn't know what she was doing, and created a pretty cool pair of shorts.  It only took a couple of hours and a few mistakes, but he did it!  I must say, the material makes better shorts than pillows – he he!

okay, so at our party sat. night our friends learned a whole lot more about Scott when he started listing all the “games” the Browns play. It all started with us mentioning Pirate Day (tuesdays), then there’s Random Profanity Day (wednesdays – but we don’t play that one in our house), and finally they all could not get over Chick or Dude. But the one game we forgot to mention was “build your own pants”! Glad you had fun — and they did turn out really good!

Nobody plays “build your own pants” better than Kevin! I’m so proud to be his mom 🙂

I am going to have to ask Shannon about the build your own pants game. I can say though that my family was not nearly as much fun to grow up in as the Brown household. We did love Chick or Dude.
