. . . which means that it is the time of year my husband sits me down in front of the computer and has me select my picks. Year after year, I try to fill in the brackets using my limited knowledge of what is really going on in the world of college basketball. (Sometimes I really do pay attention to Sports Center in the background – he he!) Usually, I end up choosing a team based on whether or not I love the city they are from, or if they have a cool name. And then, knowing full well that I really have no chance of winning, I get very upset when my teams lose! How could they betray me, after all, I have been a fan for all of a few weeks. Of course, this gives Kevin hours of great fun, as he gets to tease me about my reactions to wins and losses. This year it is especially funny, because he had me fill out 6 different brackets, and so I can't even remember if I really picked a few of the teams.
Oh well. It's definitely typical of life at our house. And hey, one year I came very close to winning it all, but I think those were college football teams. It certainly didn't make the guys at the golf course very happy though – almost being beaten by a girl who knew practically nothing. Which is why, even knowing as little as I do, I will continue to fill out the brackets every March.
