I know that some of you might think I'm crazy for wanting a steam cleaner in the first place, let alone as a birthday gift, but that's me – insane.  First, I must tell you that this is our first experience with having a child and carpeting in the same house.  If any of you have ever witnessed the table manners of my daughter, you will understand that this is not a good combination.  (Needless to say, I was very grateful we didn't take the apartment with the brand new carpet.) 

Well, the growing amount of stains and dirt in our living/dining area was driving me crazy, and soon I found myself admiring every steam cleaner we happened upon.  Kevin had talked about getting us one for my birthday next week, but this weekend put us over the top, as Lily threw up on the carpet one too many times.  So, last night for our Family Home Evening, we went to Sears and got me the Hoover Steam Vac Dual V.  Just so you don't think I alone in this endeavor, Kevin had it out of the box, put together, and in use, before bedtime.
